The Game

Originally a tabletop roleplaying game by R. Talsorian, with additional books being published by Firestorm Ink all the time, this is an ongoing game that will go as far as your imagination will take you.
For those who are unfamiliar with tabletop roleplaying, you purchase digital files (or those book things) which contain worlds, landscapes, the history of the world, characters to populate the world should you choose to use them, and rules and statistics for how to play the game. It sounds like it could be complicated, and in some cases it is, but with CyberGeneration it’s made very simple so you can just dive right into playing the game.
As for how the game itself operates, you grab a bunch of your friends and designate one of them to be the main storyteller (or game master). She or he will place your characters in the world and give them opportunities to live, grow, and expand their storylines within that world. Then you go to town with your imagination and a 10-sided die.
You can compare it to any number of things. Acting. Pretend with rules. But it all comes down to one simple concept, and that’s interactive storytelling. In a tabletop roleplaying game, you and all of your friends are crafting a story of your own choosing. Not even a Choose Your Own Adventure Book can hold a candle to that.
So if you enjoyed our characters, that’s awesome! Stick around, there’s plenty more! We’re very happy to share them with you. But if you’d like to take a shot at making your own fictional teenagers in the rich and evolving world of CyberGeneration, then check out R. Talsorian and Firestorm Ink.
