Hi everyone, I do have news for you all.
I mentioned before that we were in negotiations in order to produce CyberGeneration Version 3 (the tabletop game) as well as a novelization of CyberGen 2027. Unfortunately, these negotiations did not work out. I could not accept the terms that were offered, and I had to walk away. So, as of today, we are beginning the process of shutting down the comic.
I’m sorry I couldn’t bring this news to you earlier. It was not in my hands.
If you are interested in buying the books for CyberGen 2027, please e-mail me at shapeshifterstudios@ cybergen2027.com and let me know you are interested. We are not going to set up a marketplace, so if you want a book, just e-mail me and we’ll figure out the price from there. The first chapter books are 5 dollars each. I’m not sure about the second chapter, but it’ll be more because it’s in color. The second chapter will also include character sketches of Mydnight, Padre, and some of the background characters from chapter 2. You’ll also get a free t-shirt – either one that says “Alea jacta est” (translation: the die has been cast) with a 20-sided die on it, or “They see me rollin’, they hatin’” with a hooded figure holding a 10-sided die between its knuckles. Heather (chapter 1 artist) drew both of the images used on the t-shirts. Just let me know your size when you e-mail.
I’m recording a short video message, as more of a personal message, that I’ll post for you all within the next couple days.
Where is everyone now?
Heather is in a play, Titanic, and is pursuing an acting career.
Nilah is seeking a job in the animation or illustration field. I highly recommend her, as she’s very skilled, talented, and professional. She’s also taking commissions. Nilah Magruder.com.
Tim, as far as I know, is still doing color work. Like Nilah, he is very professional, communicates well, and does a great job. Tim’s Deviant Art
Jonathan, and our friend Geoff, have created a Dungeons & Dragons parody game called ‘Critical!’ Speaking from personal experience, it’s very funny, very fun. You can help their project here: Critical: Go Westerly
A friend and awesome person who I met at a Katsucon webcomic panel, Jennifer Zyren Smith, has a great webcomic that is continuing. I recommend following it. Lasalle’s Legacy
And as for me…? I’m working on a new novel. If you’re interested in hearing more about that, you can friend me on facebook (just let me know that’s why you’re doing it), or I might post here since I believe this site is paid for for awhile longer. Not sure what I’ll write here, if anything, but it’s a possibility. The image above is from that new novel.
Thank you all for your interest and your support. It means more to me than you can ever know.
Happy New Year, everyone.
